Seeking more land opportunities
Since the launch of Lagan Homes England early in 2007, an impressive number of land acquisitions have already been achieved but more land is currently being sought.
A unique combination of financial resources, technical capability and business flexibility means that we are able to acquire medium to large complex sites that may not necessarily fit the usual requirements of the volume house builder or larger commercial developer.
We purchase sites to develop ourselves, taking a long term view of a site’s potential. We recognise that property development is a complex business and that a ‘one size fits all’ approach is unlikely to maximise the value of an individual site.
An example is the Lagan Group’s acquisition of Twyford Bathroom’s manufacturing facility in Alsager, Staffordshire. In the short term, most of the 65 acres site will be leased back to Twyford Bathrooms, but its longer term mixed-use development potential for residential as well as employment uses is being actively progressed.
Collaboration and consultation
We work collaboratively with Planning Authorities to ensure that the local community is properly consulted about development proposals and can share in the benefits that successful developments bring.
We are keen to increase our portfolio of land purchases and would welcome contact from landowners, agents or other interested parties.
