Group Chairman Kevin Lagan is one of Ireland’s leading entrepreneurs with a formidable reputation for business vision and integrity.
Group Finance Director Sean McCann manages the Group’s accounting and treasury functions. His excellent relationships with the banking community mean that Lagan Group has the capability to finance a number of large scale development projects simultaneously through a mixture of debt and equity.
Who’s Who at Lagan Homes – England
Lagan Homes Chairman Martin Donohue was Chief Executive of Westbury Homes from 1995 to 2005. During this period, Westbury’s market capitalisation grew ten fold from £100m to £1bn. He retired in November 2005 prior to Persimmon’s acquisition of Westbury and now holds a portfolio of non-executive directorships and consultancy roles. His reputation and contacts within the English house building market are second to none.
Lagan Homes Regional Managing Director John Lougher was Managing Director of Westbury Homes Central Region and then Managing Director of Persimmon Homes South Midlands Region before joining the Lagan Group at the beginning of 2007. A Chartered Surveyor, John has extensive experience of land acquisition and planning negotiations in addition to the general management of large scale house building businesses.
Technical Director Stuart Pearson was previously Technical Director at Persimmon South Midlands. He previously worked with Beazer Homes, McLean Homes and George Wimpey.
Commercial Director Gerry Gardiner joined Lagan Homes from Buckinghamshire-based building contractors Frank Wood, where he was Managing Director. Gerry has also worked in the new homes industry for Barratt, Try and Heron Homes as well as for Tarmac.
Construction Director Darren Wright has wide ranging experience encompassing residential, industrial, commercial and retail sectors, from single dwellings and small works to large scale regeneration projects. Prior to joining Lagan, Darren held development and contracting roles within companies such as Crest Nicholson and the Anderson Group.
