Dalebrook Place, Kenilworth

Thanks to its superb leisure amenities and excellent transport links, Kenilworth, described in the Domesday Book as no more than a clearing in the Forest of Arden, is now one of most highly desirable places to live in the Midlands.

The town’s shopping centre, which incorporates several listed buildings, is now attracting a variety of contemporary individual shops and restaurants. These new facilities, alongside more traditional attractions, such as England’s largest castle ruin, Tudor gardens, Norman Keep and Great Hall, contribute to Kenilworth’s growing appeal.

The increasing popularity of the town as a residential location is enhanced by the reputation of its well-performing schools. Dalebrook Place is served by St Nicholas Church of England Primary School (subject to LEA catchment areas), which feeds into the Kenilworth School and Sports College.

There is also a good choice of independent schools including Abbotsford, Crackley Hall and the King Henry VIII School in Coventry.

Kenilworth boasts two theatres - the small and intimate Talisman, located in Barrow Road, and the Priory on Rosemary Hill - offering regular productions including drama, comedy, pantomime, musicals and Youth Theatre performances. Within the town itself there are various enjoyable walks including the Abbey Fields and ruins, the Millennium Walks and a quartet of flourishing nature reserves managed by the county’s Wildlife Trust.

Residents interested in sports are also well served. The town has its own tennis, squash and rugby football clubs, as well as a supporters club of local area league football team, Coventry City. The Kenilworth golf club is near to Dalebrook Place. Alternatively, the Warwickshire golf club is situated to the south of the town and there are several locations offering gym facilities, including one on Common Lane itself.
